About us
La Sigua Cigar Company is the first and only cigar company in El Salvador that has been thru meticulous journey, requiring extensive collaboration with the government to ensure full compliance with national regulations. From the outset, we faced the challenge of navigating a regulatory landscape that had never before accommodated a homegrown cigar industry. This meant working closely with various governmental agencies to draft and establish the necessary legal frameworks for tobacco cultivation, production, and distribution entirely within El Salvador.

El Salvador has strict rules on tobacco sales and unlike most other countries; our cigar comes in a unique package. We still maintain the sample quality cigar but remember per requirements our cigar comes in a box with the required regulatory language.

From seed to smoke, every aspect of our cigars is authentically Salvadoran—grown from carefully selected tobacco seeds cultivated in El Salvador’s fertile volcanic soil, harvested and processed by skilled local farmers, and handcrafted by expert rollers who bring generational craftsmanship to life.
The Founders
Bryan Vides, with his roots deeply embedded in El Salvador, dreamed of creating a cigar that his homeland could cherish and take pride in. This dream was transformed into reality when he joined forces with serial entrepreneur Mark Harrison. After visiting, Mark fell in love with the traditions of El Salvador and wanted to become part of this rich culture. Together, they embarked on a journey of discovery, navigating through unknown terrains and enduring late nights and early mornings. Their relentless pursuit and shared vision culminated in the birth of La Sigua, marking the inception of the first ever all-Salvadoran cigars in history. Bryan and Mark's partnership not only celebrates the rich flavors of El Salvador but also ignites a legacy of excellence and pride.
History
In the lush mountains of El Salvador, a legend was born and woven into the fabric of the land—Mr. Vides, a man whose spirit was as resilient as the tobacco he traded. With the grit of a true pioneer, he journeyed tirelessly on horseback between El Salvador and Honduras, carving a path of prosperity with the reins of ambition in his hands. His wealth grew as tall as the mountains he traversed, yet fate dealt a harsh blow in his 30s when illness took hold, exacerbated by his relentless rides. Mr. Vides' legacy, however, did not end with the silence of his passing. His fortune may have dissipated into the mists of the highlands, but his story remained, steadfast and immortal. It was this enduring tale of dreams and dedication that inspired his grandson, who heard the whispers of legacy in the winds. Fueled by the same fire that once drove his grandfather, he revived the family's name in the tobacco leaves, creating the only known El Salvador Cigar—a phoenix reborn from the ashes of history, a tribute to a dream that never died.
